Whatever happened to the presumption of innocence until guilty in this country? do we really have to revert back to the medieval days of pitch fork waving mobs deciding an accused persons fate?

Anyway, 20th century civilisation aside he's been accused so obviously that means he's automatically 100% guilty and thankfully all of his TV shows have been alrady pulled from the television so that we don't have to look at him any more.. but what happens if any of us are out shopping and he's walking around town? can't we just put him in permanent lock down until the day he dies or arrange it another way so that none of us ever have to see him again? I mean being exposed to him in real life is 10 times than seeing him acting in our favourite programme on the television. I don't think I could survive the encounter.

In the interest of social justice AKA mob mentality how should we deal with him OCUK? I feel like cancelling him from television, sacking him and blacklisting him from most future employment is not enough to prevent the horror of ever seeing him again. Can we put up a poll or something then we can see if the smaller OCUK mob are in agreement with the wider cultural mob.

Have you seen some of the videos circulating? The one where he rubs himself on stage against a woman?

Oh and this :

"Recent reports however have made it clear to me that some of my actions have affected people in ways I did not intend or realise," he said in a statement.

"To those individuals, I am deeply sorry. I will be seeking professional help to educate myself and change for the better.

the guys clearly a predator check some of his old tweets
One of his friends has already said it's a racist witch hunt as nobody likes to see a successful person of colour.

I still don't like all this stuff blowing up in the media before proper inquiries are made and due process is completed. Trial by media has to stop. :(

it's fine he will learn from his mistakes, he didn't know he was a creep taking advantage of naive young women who might not feel like they can say no if they want a career.

getting people to perform sex scenes that aren't even part of the script and couldn't be used anyway etc.....

There is a reason why society once held up innocent before guilty. Because someone is going to be falsely accused and kill themself. Sadly at this rate I think that is the only thing to stop this modern day heresy.

Before people think I'm making a judgement on this guy. I'm not.

In this current climate, if someone accuses you of sexual assault then its over. Nobody is going to believe you if you can't prove your own innocence.

If someone is a victim of crime then report it.

We've had enough of these situations aleady to not take them seriously anymore until there is actually some evidence and it gets to court.

What's to say someone doesn't just hold a grudge, then mobbed up with some friends to try to ruin his career?

20 women, the first I'm not guilty statement and then the next statement of I'm sorry I'm off to therapy for being a bit touchy feely but I still didn't do anything wrong.

It doesn't look great, which is a shame because I really enjoy his work.

Isn’t it like 20 women making accusation against him? If it was one or two perhaps you would have a point.
Regardless, I think the rules should apply equally to everyone. Enough people have had their lives ruined because of false accusations, I know that much.

For the record, I think it's highly likely he's abused his fame and position, but that's just my perception.

I think it’s sensible for organisations and businesses to distance themselves from him given the seriousness and volume of the allegations.

Absolutely.

He should absolutely be suspended and i dont get the argument against it. The whole cancel culture stuff is just how it is nowadays but the amount of people calling him out is very very high.

I'm old fashioned, I still believe in the concept of innocent until proven guilty. OK, he may have done all the dodgy things he's accused of, but until he's found guilty in a court of law....

lets say he goes to court, gets a proper trial and the jury finds him innocent of all accusations.

how many of those organizations and businesses are still gonna distance from him "just in case"? no smoke without fire right?

that's gonna be a punishment- the loss of reputation and ability to work, a punishment metered out by society, for a claim.

the very thought that this could happen to anyone regardless of the truth, regardless of their fame and regardless of what the punishment (or lack thereof) the law decides is one that should be absolutely terrifying.

hes a lads lad .. suggestions and playful behaviour in this pc world is a no no .. i feel sorry for him .. the world will just hack him to pieces
even tho it happens every day in the real world

Some of that kind of messing about (the mic "penis" incident for example) was par for the course back in the 90s and early 2000s. Nobody would have batted an eyelid. Now it's basically classed as rape by the twitter brigade.

At least I'm not the only one who still likes the idea of innocent until proven guilty, regardless of volume of accusations. The problem now is the influence social media probably has on a jury IMO - it's got to be pretty hard to be totally impartial when there's so much stuff going around.

Once precedents are set when anyone can be piled on and their life ruined without evidence, we're all screwed. Looks that way already actually.

I think he's probably gone beyond being a "lad's lad" in all honesty but still... I suppose "suspension" rather than "sacking" is reasonable given how public it all is now. Get the facts etc...
