got one of these on my pc atm and it does its job but from time to time, I have to move it around a bit to get it to work again. recently been thinking about buying another to put onto the one I have already, would that make it better/worse or just be pointless?

also found something on ebay called a ferrit core noise filter, that clips onto a wire and is supposed to have the same effect as the noise filter device. has anyone used one of these before and would it be a good idea to attach one to the noise filter device I already have?

I assume you are talking about ground loop isolators. Unless there's a fault with it, maybe a flaky connection, I'm not sure if adding another one will help. If it's one of the cheap ones, then can't hurt to get another maybe, to see if that has any positive effect.

The one you have might have a ferrite core inside around the cable. I would imagine that's what the cheap ones consist of. Slightly more expensive ones will likely involve electronics, such as the Behringer hum destroyer HD400.

just opened the one I have, there was some circuitry inside afterall. just bought the behringer you suggested, it does look good too. guess I will have to wait to test its quality.
