Noise issue

Hello

I have recently changed my motherboard from m5a78l-m/usb3 to asrock extreme3 970 and now my CPU stock fan runs at around 5000rpm where as before i never seen it above 2000 i have not overclocked anything and used mx-4 thermal compound when moved the FX8120 to the new motherboard is this something that is changeable or do i need to buy a new cooler if so please suggest a quiet cooler that will be able to run it at default clock speed

Sounds like they are set for full rpm in the bios, take a look in the bios for adaptive cooling settings.

Ok I switched it to automatic And it increased rpm to 5600rpm and temperature up to 64c which is above the safe temp in the manual
