Hi All,

I've purchased a new GTX 760 and 4GB Ram DDR3 1600MZ. All running ok..

I've had enough of my PC being super loud! I use to have a Corsair Hydro H50-1 High-Performance CPU Watercooler.

I've upgraded to the H70 but the PC is still loud!

Any suggestions on how to decrease the noise please?

Update case cooling with newer fans and connect to a fan speed controller.

But, what case and fans are you using?

Thanks for the reply.

my pc is practically silent. hooked up all the fans to the motherboard and nothing spins at idle. if you watercool your gpu too, then you have even less noise. its great!

but expensive

On my mobo when i go into the bio i have an option to set fans to silent mode, which makes them all spin very slowly, maybe yours has the option. I dont know if them 760s are quiet maybe you can make a less aggressive fan profile for that.

H70 is louder than the H50, which was already loud. This blurb from the Corsair site should be a clue..

High-performance, twin 120mm fans offer outrageous airflow in push-pull configuration

The fans are apparently selectable to 2000rpm or 1600rpm but in my opinion 1600rpm is way too loud for idle.

First thing I'd do is hook those H70 fans to a fan controller or PWM to 3 pin converter and use the motherboard to control them. Then I'd be looking to control the case fans as 1500rpm is not always needed. The graphics card may be noisy and to remedy that you may need to fit an aftermarket cooler, I really can't stress enough how much quieter a 3/4 slot cooler is over the stock 2 slotters.

It's my front 2 fans! Part of the PC case - i disconnected them and it's sorted it!

They are plugged directly into the PSU... Do I just replace the fans?
