Cant seem to get my phone to switch on the battery feels really warm to the touch. ive left it on charge for an hour or so and still nothing. could the battery be dead ???

If it's anything like a laptop, if the battery is dead you would still be able to turn it on by having it plugged into the wall. Anyone able to confirm that by taking out their battery, plugging it in to charge, and turning it on?

Mobile phones are nothing like laptops when it comes to batteries, you have to have the battery on the back for it to work, and yes I have a 5800, and yes ive just tried it.

So what ya think its dead all together btw does the power cord tip look slighty angled or is it just mine?

Not got anoher nokia charger lying about, or another nokia phone you can try and charge?

you said the battery was warm which leads me to believe your battery is recieving charge, therefore charger fine,
Battery warm also leads to it working, (but not deffo, checking another battery if possible would be great)

Yes that tiny pin always gets bent easy!

Ok cheers for the input guys think ill be ringing Tmobile today then, only had the phone couple of weeks :(
