Nokia 5800 Cracked Screen

Hi all,

I've cracked the screen on my 5800. The outter plastic part is ok but the lcd screen is buggered.

Has anyone else cracked theres and how much did it cost to get it repaired and where?

I broke my LCD on my n82 a couple of years back, cost me 50 quid in a mobile phone shop (one of the independent ones)

You can buy screens on tinterweb if you are technologically minded enough to do it yourself.

My wife did the same with her LG viewty, and it was £45 to fix

If you are with Vodafone and don't have insurance with them typically its a flat rate of £40 for a replacement screen.

You can buy replacement LCDs on eBay / other sites online

The screen you need is 4850096 - make sure the screen you buy has the code on the back, as there's a few fakes surfacing recently (if you decide to go down the route of fixing yourself

)

hi , the lcd screen of my 5800 was broken last June and it cost me 75 euros to fix it in a nokia service point , so i guess 60 quid would probably cost in the UK
