Nokia 6500 slide problem

Purchased a 6500 slide today off Ebay. Everything is fine except for the fact that it doesn't seem to recognise the memory card. It comes with a 256mb card and it just doesn't appear in the media gallery, and when I change the default location for pictures to the memory card, it just defaults back to the phone memory straight after.

I've tried a different card in the phone and it doesn't pick that up either

Anyone know whats wrong is is it just broke?

Found out what it is. The back cover has to be on the phone for it to recognise the memory card, however the one side of the back cover doesn't click into place like the other, so it doesn't register the back cover being on properly. Shows up when I pinch it together but I can't be done with that

Find the sensor and glue it down.
