My wife just bought one of these and in the first week the battery has almost run down twice, with her making hardly any calls - does it sound like a dodgy battery?

I have a 6021 and I can charge it up once a month and its still got loads of battery.

1. Li-Ion batteries need a few charges to reach the maximum capacity. If it's much, much shorter than the advertised standby time, maybe it is a fault, but if it's just a slight difference then this is probably the reason.

2. Charging your mobile once a month? Are you sure?

Hmm okay I exagerated - its more than once a month. :p But I hardly ever seem to have to charge it - probably as the phone is rubbish and doesn't do anything fancy.

I'll tell her to keep with it for a while and see how it goes.

Slight change of topic - she nevers uses her ipod (4gb old mini) as she can't be bothered to carry it - if I bought a 2GB microsd card for her phone and she used the mp3 player on there would it be almost as good?

just take it back, maybe a one-off dodgy battery!
