I was cleaning the car I got last week today and noticed a Nokia box under the front passenger seat. It seems to have a connecter coming from it that you would plug a normal phone into and there is also a second arial on top of the car that it seems to connect to. The car is a 1997 Ford Escort if thats any help.

Anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Just a guess...The external arial may be...An External arial?

Remember ten years...no - six years ago?

When mobile signals were still patchy?

Isn't a hands free kit just something that holds your mobile phone?

Why would it have a normal phone plug and an arial?

It's the control box for a Nokia CARK-91 phone kit. Nothing more, nothing less.
