My parents recently got a pair of these phones and returned them rightly so.

What a horrible phone, so hard to navigate and sooooo slow

aww...its such a shame whn people are soooo wrong lol
it's an awesome phone... whats so hard to navigate on it? the only slow bit is the odd message opening, apart fom that its quick, and plays games really well too!

I love my N70. Fair enough it takes a little getting used to the Symbian OS but once you have had it for a few weeks it is masterfull. I love mine. Got a 1 gig mem card so it is my phone, calandar, sat nav system and mp3 player. It's class!!!

I agree that the N70 can be slow on occassions....but apart from that I can't really fault it. By far the best phone I've ever had :)

s60 phones are the best phones around. nothing in this price range can compete with them, especially anything from microsoft. I used to love my c500 smartphone untill i got my 6630.

lol, i'm gonna stick with johnnyb on this one, I find the joypad thingy really fiddly and the buttons quite small. The screen is impressive, but navigating my friends one is a nightmare, having the 3 software on it, in comparison the vodafone software is really fast, but still too slow for me.

Now that WOULD annoy me. Would never go with a company that brands their phones the way they do.

Once you find the menu key is and discover what it does then Series 60 is by far the easiest smartphone UI to use.

However, it is still a smartphone UI and it's very hard to add such advanced features without making the UI significantly more complex. Smartphones aren't for everyone and some people will always prefer simplicity over features.

i have had to voda version and the three version and I have to say the 3 version is the least branded, the voda one is horrible

my 3 has NO software branding, apart from the logo at the start up

it can be a bit slow sometimes, but other then that it really is a great phone.

i still havnt updated my firmware, so that might speed it up a little

so simple to navigate its just silly

but overall, wouldnt swap it for any other phone

My mates one, ok maybe its the theme thats just different, but their 3 phone is just horrendously slow, so I blame it on software. lol.

it takes half an hour to get to the camera......on my 6230i i just press UP!!!!! lol
On the N70 you just slide open the camera cover and it activates the camera.
And yes, you can change the keys around to open different apps.

exactly what i was going to say, although you could also switch on the standby screen to get all the shortcuts on the front screen (like a desktop bit)...

I'd have thought that sliding the lens cover down would be even more intuitive and simple than even pressing up.

N70 is the best phone i have owned, sure in the first few weeks i found the keys a little small especially 2 when texting, but so easy now, interface is the best i have used, and only slow bit is accessing messaging, O2 are great but my cousing Orange is annoying and canno be personalised as easily. Soft keys etc. Also i just relaised that the mp3 player will display ID3 Picture tags, quality. Also playing game emulators is killer. Just waiting to try the p990. Also the video recording quality is excellent.

Im not trying to put down series 60 as totally slow and rubbish, I had a 6600, then 7610, and they were amazing, but when I play with the N70 it seems like someone installed windows xp on a pentium 100mhz if you know what I mean.
