Nokia N70

Mate you cant use the dummy phones in shops as an example. but seriously maybe the one you used was rammed full of rubbish. Mines a big step up from my s700.

lol? I know I work in a phone store but I still get to use the phones.

I suppose its like how I find the V3 software slow, but the majority of motorola users enjoy it. The phone on 3 was 2 days old. Also stuff like getting to write a message is long winded, even with a shortcut.

well with my n70 now brand free i can say it's really fast. I have actually been using my gf's 6230i the interface seems sooo slow. I find it's much better than the motorola which was bizarre.

On the N70 you just slide open the camera cover and it activates the camera.

I've heard that it doesn't actually work sometimes though.

I was all up for the getting the N70 when it came out, but I've heard so many bad things about it being slow and buggy I just couldn't bring myself to get it. And anyone about due for their upgrade at this point in time would be mad to go for it with the N80 around the corner IMO.

Are you lot not getting the fault with the ringtones? Set it to a mp3 or wav or whatever else... Sometimes it will play it... other times it will play the bl00dy annoying Nokia tune!!! Orange will do sod all about it and are not taking responsibility...

You need to download and install the ringtone patch for the N70.
It's available from the Nokia site :)

edit - Here's the link to it, top of the list http://www.nokia.co.uk/nokia/0,,77767,00.html

Its not my phone its a friends... He has used the patch but its still the same... Nokia are aware of the problem as its on the website... loads of ppl are having the same fault...

it's an old firmware issue. Keep looking for patches or if you can find firmware upgrades.

See if MobileBurn forums can help you.
