could someone recommend one please, I can get my dads old phone (n73) but not sure if it needs one ?
or is there one built in to the phone?
it's for using tom tom mobile 6

I've got the keyring GPS which you can find if you search sensibly, its done me very well, locks on great, is sirfstarIII and one of the smallest there is around. Funny enough it just sits on my keyring looking like a key fob...
 
i've got a blue next one with uses the latest chipset can't remember what it is, but its meant to be better than the Sirfstar3 chipset.

Its about 1/3 of the size of the N73, but is very good.

This is the 2nd one i bought for £30 after the first one jumped of my bike at 80mph.

I don't actually have the N73 (it's my dads, but he got an upgrade, so it's there for the taking)
I think it only has a 256mb card just now, will that be enough?
also what other cables do i need to buy to install software etc, the only thing I have with a card reader on it is a digital photo frame, would I be able to put the files etc on the card with that ?
 
the phone should have usb cable, i'm sure you can pick them up for peanuts on an auction site.

I card reader for your PC would come in handy though, I have one built into my printer that does the job.

For UK maps only you might just scrap by on 258mb with nothing else. You can get 512mb, 1gb and 2gb minisd cards for very cheap these days. Install tomtom and load the phone up with music and away you go.

I'd be interested in hearing what its called, since i though SSIII was still pretty much top of the game (although it has been ages, and i dont really keep up to date with my GPS :P).

How much did you pay for yours ?
I got an n81 and have been thinking about getting a gps adaptor for a while. Anyone know if the cheap ones you see on ebay are anygood? I have been using nokia maps from time to time, so i figure having the gps adaptor would be handy.
