Nokia N8 - Custom Firmware and Mods

As title, there is custom firmware and various mods out there.

one of them changes the video recording in 720P from 25 fps to 30 fps and increases the audio quality from 128kbps to 256 kbps and also activates continuous auto-focus.

also other mods to remove image compression, make images larger and clearer, etc.

this has now made the best mobile camera even better, the difference in images is astonishing, i dont know if im allowed to link to the sites, but im sure you guys can easily google them.

custom firmware is also out there, so im pretty sure if you did find someone smart enough like geohot they could maybe even port android onto the phone, but i doubt anyone that is capable of doing so would do it, due to there being no financial gain.

but you do need to keep the software upto date as it was a bit of a mare when released.

Imho Nokia have lost the plot over the last couple of years and sadly the N8 is not there finest hour

Id saythe N8 has the best camera in a phone, and most likely to in 2011 as well.. pity its on Symbian.

Straight from the press release for the N8 release 30/9/2010 no less - although he re-arranged 2 quotes from the same paragraph. Lord, this is so awful, you should be ashamed of this.

I'm genuinely confused, even PR shills try to avoid quotes from PR wire work. Nokia has used this sort of marketing before, maybe it's making a poorly-done return.
