Nokia N96 wierd display thing.

I could have sworn my nokia n96 normally displays 3g or 3.5 g etc in the top left hand corner. Have i been imagining it as today its just shows the signal bar when im on the net with it?

Im sure it used to say 2g or 3g or 3.5g under neath the signal bar?

Perhaps you're not in a 3G area, thus using GPRS?

That's pretty much how the signal icon works on the N95. If you reckon you should have 3g in the area then I would recommend rebooting the phone.

no im def on 3g as if you go to the my 3 section when its on 2 g it says "sorry i cant provide you etc"

If the strength bar doesn't show the 3g or 3.5g logo then you are definitely using the GPRS system at that moment in time.

hmm seems to keep getting stuck to 2g so cheers guys. saved me from madness
