Nokia World 2012, so what does that mean, it's nearly time for them to reveal from them to unveil the new WP8 line up.

Right, so what do we know already....

The Rumours:

That was quick: we'd heard rumors through The Verge of wireless charging coming to the repeatedly leaked Lumia 920 alongside a pseudo-PureView camera, and the mysterious @evleaks has come through with what looks to be press photos showing the wireless charging pad in action. As long as they're more than just wild imaginings, they reveal a puck-like surface that could juice up both the Lumia 920 and the less ambitious 820. We don't know much more about the charger, although it's expected to use Qi and wouldn't limit the phones and pad to coupling solely with each other. We'll know the bigger picture on September 5th; in the meantime, check after the break for a bonus picture showing both Windows Phone 8 devices with an unnamed Bluetooth headset (likely a Luna variant) that might join the charger in Nokia's accessory line.

Rumour: Microsoft forcing OEMs to place charging port at same location for universal accessories

According to their tipster Microsoft has changed the chassis spec for Windows Phone 8, forcing all OEMs to place the charge and sync port in the same location, in the bottom middle of the handset.

This will make it easy for third parties to make universal accessories which can serve for example all 10 million Windows Phone 8 users at the same time, rather than just the 2 million HTC Accord or 3 million Samsung Activ S users.

It will have a beastly large 4.5-inch display, as well as a 1.5GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, and 32GB of onboard storage. In addition to a 1.3MP front-facing camera, the Lumia 920 will have an 8MP “PureView” camera around back.

Can't wait, charge pad would be good selling point for me.
I used to **** wireless charging off saying its too inefficient.
But the amount of apple charging cables I've gone through is insane. Double figures in under two years.

God I hope these devices are good, I love the look of the lumia range.
I just hope at least one wp8 supports the EE 4G uk band.
 
PureView Lumia with RichRecording tech, and ill be throwing my credit card at my screen.
And I think MS are playing a part in this as well, so hopefully some more WP8 being shown?
Mad rumour, but wonder if theirs any possibility of a Tablet being talked about.
 
There must be a Nokia tablet. Nokia have talked about a tablet for ages, if you don't have a tablet in the modern world, your losing out on $billions.
 
That is one ugly ass charging pad.... Is it to difficult to make them flatter or does that reduce efficiency through less coils etc?

I am pretty certain I am going to go with the Lumia 920
 
tbh given microsofts specs for windows 8 i expect nokia spec cpu and memory wise to be same as samsung offering .... however with the look of the phone removable battrey looks a no no again ..... i hope not , as iphone is on ebay atm lol i want a windows 8 nokia phone .
I dont know why but i hate being the "same" everywhere i look its dam iphones ! lol

but the phone looks ace ;) just hope its real ;)

Seriously thinking of going WP8 and maybe the Nokia ones with there Pure view camera which will be the dogs i reckon, losing interest in Android now as I can tell as I have no interest in getting a GS3.
 
Yeah, I've got the same issue - contract on my S2 ending early next year, and nothing Android sparks my interest. The only issue with WP is apps, and that I'm pretty tied into the Android ecosystem.
 
Well iPhone sold last night so got me a cheap lumina 800 to tide me over :)


Any know what networks will have the phones ? All the networks seem to be very quiet when you click on coming soon phones ?

Woah it's almost like the networks will be under NDA about a new phone release. That's strange... that has never happened before.
 
When are these likely to go on sale - do we have to wait until Oct 26th inline with retail release of Win 8?
 
Looks like some more City Lens stuff.
Just a little thing, I notice she looks at the black shoes, then goes to the other shelf with all the other colours, nice touch.

She is walking along clearly looking uncomfortable in her shoes ( a metaphor for your current phone maybe?)
Any way, she uses Nokia's City Lens, gets a recommendation for some shoes in another shop, more comfortable looking ones.
Second vid, we see a frame of Black only shoes, then she moves to the shelf with the nice selection of colours for a change.
