Howdy.

Looking at building a non gaming (potential future gaming upgrade) for a family member.

Was thinking something a Ryzen 3600 16 gig of ram 120gb ssd for windows and a 1tb normal hard drive.

His budget is about £600 ( need case too )

Any help greatly appreciated

What's the main usage of the computer? You will need a basic graphics card as the 3600 doesn't have integrated graphics

Just general office stuff youtube channel etc. he was going to buy an xps 15 but he works from a home office i told him he'd get miles more for his money with a desktop....... i built a pal a Ryzen build a couple of years ago and put a £25 gpu in it (i think) as that was all that was required.. I'm ok with putting it together just not with selecting the parts which is why i, trying to enlist the help of you good folk..

Just chuck a 3200G or a 3400G in it instead of the 3600. More than enough for office, and will do basic gaming. Easy enough to add a graphic card down the line

Build looks good but is the £130 mobo really necessary for an office pc? Options from about £70 will do the job just as well, no?

/\/\ it will but the MSI board is capable of running with a higher core count CPU & the possibility of Ryzen 4000 series support (that will depend on MSI) Agreed on Asrock pro4 being fine for an office PC, though its a question of 'speculate to accumulate' as regards upgrades & the more expensive board.

This looks great. How r those 3200g's with the onboard graphics? i was thinking of going with the 6 score do you think thats a bit overkill?

They are decent enough, as long as you don't want to play at full detail and high frame rates. I've built a few boxes with them. Fine for Fifa, FM2020, and have played stuff like GTA, Battlefield etc on them. Only the 3200G and 3400G have onboard graphics (hence the G in the name)

Brilliant.

Thanks all for the help
