non TN 19" - what's my options?

Looking at getting 3 x 19" for a setup with a Matrox Triple Head 2 Go unit.

An alternative would be some good 20" screens with good scaling, e.g. the Dell 2007s, would be getting higher ppi then as well but the price is getting a bit much for three.

Apart from the Viewsonic VP930 (which doesn't seem to be around anymore) what other non TN panels are recommended (want good angles and good blacks)?

Is the Samsung 970 a non TN panel? Any good? (seen it in black the other day, looks nice)

The Samsung 970P is using a PVA panel from Samsung themselves, so no, it's not TN Film

This and the Viewsonic VP930 are both popular and would be good choices

note: panel search tool available here if you need to check what technology is used on a model

The option is there of using 20" screens at 1600x1200 and upscaling the images to them which may look better due to the higher dpi of a 20" but 1600x1200 adds that much more expense.

Does anyone know why the VP930 seems to be harder to get now?
