noob 360 question

I'm thinking of getting a 360 but I want to know if a mouse and keyboard can be used for playing FPS.I just cannot get on with a joypad with these type games.

Not sure but theres a usb connection at the back by the network port. I have a feeling the answer is no though.

not out of the box there is a device for about £50 that sort of does it but it is unofficial and may not be up to much think microsoft are trying to distance themselves from the mouse keyboard as they want to compete in the console market not pc

I thought there was rumours of a release of a keyboard and mouse for playing FPS etc on the 360. I'm sure I seen another thread about it which included pic's

Short answer: No.

Long answer, there is a device that can be purchased where you plug in a KB/Mouse and it will fool the 360 into thinking it's being controlled normally, however I don't think they're actually that good, but I don't know anybody with one. The games are all designed with analogue stick control in mind, it just takes a little bit of getting used to.

It was reviewed and didn't do too well.

ive been used to keyboard/mouse FPS for years, and at first it was tricky on gears of war but after awhile its pretty easy to aim with the analogue stick :cool:

The games are designed for the gamepad, your at no disadvantage, mind you.
