I have vista installed on one partition, and this is how my laptop boots at the moment straight into the factory installed vista, I have a d: partition I wish to put XP on for the sakes of dual booting and having a play in XP (if games run faster mainly)

Is it as simple as booting up the XP cd installing to d: and job done?

Will booting the laptop with both OS's installed then give me the option on boot to choose which way to boot?

Cheers all!

For future reference if you want to dual boot XP and Vista you have to install XP first and then Vista so you can get the boot manager to choose which OS you want to boot into. If you install Vista first you dont get the boot menu but you can use Vista Boot Pro to help you dual boot different opterating systerms if you have installed vista first.
