noob dual monitor question

I currently have a 17" TFT on my PC. When playing games such as EVE it's irritating to keep flicking between MSN, Media Player and the like. I have a 15" CRT in my garage that is in pretty good nick, just have a few questions about it.

1: Would I be able to have a game on one monitor and MSN on the other? (nvidia 7900gt btw)
2. Would this cause any noticeable slowdown? (I don't plan to play games on both)

you will be able to run dual monitors yes and you will be able to have msn on one and a game on the other.

and there wont be slow downs

When ever i play a game on one monitor and move my mouse to the other, the game minimizes.

yes that's normal b-cos you are clicking outside of the application/game so it will minimize automaticly, same thing happens on mine, I'm not sure if theres a way to stop this from happening, I doubt it tbh

I use orekaria to stop it happening for eve at least. thanks. I'll set it up now
