Hi guys.

I've got an Enthoo Primo and Asus Sabertooth x99 motherboard.

I have plugged the Primo fan hub into the CPU bit on the motherboard and Ive plugged 3 fans from my radiator into the motherboard fan headers.

When I turn on the pc it spins all case fans for a little while, then they stop. Then just the fans connected directly to Mobo continue to run.

I think I've not set it up properly so was wondering what is best method. I have "Chassis" fans and "Assistance" fans in the fan software.

Any input appreciated. Thanks

Have you plugged the sata power to the fan hub ? the hubs are a bit hit and miss work for some don't work for others.

Better with just a fan controller in the Primo bay, I gave up with the fan hubs.

The Phantek hub has Case fans connected to it.

The Motherboard has Radiator Fans(x3) connected to it.

They are running now at full speed and are right noisy buggers lol. The case fans however aren't running at all.

Sata cable is connected to hub, and case fans spin up on power up then stop.

You could try just one fan to the hub see if that works, the ones connected to the motherboard can be set in the bios, your manual will show which headers are best used.

But as I said, a fan controller is best option saves a lot of trial and error :)

I think by mixing the two up I confused myself.

I'll have to check the manual properly and spend a bit of time on it. The motherboard has 11 fan headers and the hub has 7. Too much to confuse my old brain lol.

I want to set it so the fans on radiator run nice and slow.

the only connection to the motherboard should be from the Hub to the CPU header on motherboard. All other fans connect to the Hub. each fan header on the hub can be split, apart from the first 1. check the manual I sure this is all in it

Yep, basically control for all fans originates from the cpu header. Though i have read of lots of users having issues with the hub even when set up properly. Personally ive never used mine as i had a fan controller which i carried over from my previous case.

Isn't the hub pwm so 3 pin fans will run flat out? And you can only control pwm fans on a pwm hub as I found out! :p

The asus software will be used to control that header, which in turn will operate the 3 or whatever fans are attached to it.
