Dear experts,

I have been looking to build a gaming pc for a while now and with the influx of deal I decided to purchase the sapphire vega 56 graphics card. In my mind i was actually gonna buy an nvidia one but the deal was too good to pass up. Now I have no idea which parts are compatible, I have no other parts bought yet such as psu or cpu.

Would someone be able to guide me for any optimal build for this graphics card? I have no intention to overclocker atm, and only looking for stock. Any help and support is appreciated. My budget is £1000 with 300 already being spent on the card. To add I already have a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Thank you.

do you also require peripherals ie: monitor/keyboard/mouse/speakers/headset and windows too?
also who is doing the building?

I have mouse, keyboard, speaker and monitor but will need to buy Windows 10. I will be building it, I am not completely computer illiterate but ha e never built one before.

ryzen 2600 is 2nd gen 6 core, 1700 is 1st gen 8 core CPU
longevity-wise, 1700 wins out, but for out-and-out gaming currently, then 2600 is probably better as as mhz still matters - first gen ryzen can't overclock as high 2nd gen (3.9ghz vs 4.1ghz on average)
...but this less so, when you go higher resolutions (eg 21:9 1440p) and if you are doing other things than gaming, 8 cores may be of benefit.
also, 2nd gen ryzen has benefit of precision boost 2 and XFR2, so it basically "overclocks" itself, whereas gen 1's precision boost and XFR isn't as finely tuned...

but above being said, if it was my money and a choice between 2600x/b450 and 1700/x370 - i'd go for the 1700/x370 all day long
