Noob install question

I know with AMD you pretty much have to uninstall the drivers. Not sure about NV...

Afterburner might kick up a fuss if you have some fancy settings.

Before slamming it in, you might need to whack on the latest Motherboard Bios as it may not recognise the silcone being inserted ( 780 ).

Then as long as you Ram home the pci-e cables you should be hunky dorey ;)

I would use DDU (display Driver uninstaller) to remove the old drivers first. Then put the new card in and install new drivers.

The whole process should only take about 10min so worth doing just to be on the safe side.

Yea but little less of the tearing, ripping, and slamming. Those antics should be left for the bedroom. Your pc likes you to be gentle with it, kiss it and caress it. Then it will love you long long time!

If you're really bothered you can remove the drivers totally and redo them, but if the card is a similar series then that isn't necessary a lot of the time.
