Been a while since I used mine but from memory .... you startup Itunes and delete it there then update the ipod through itunes ie. reload eveything again minus that album.... like I said been ages since Ive used mine.

I manually drag and drop music onto my ipod through itunes. I dont use the auto sync either. Just click on the ipod on the left hand side, then select what you want to delete in the main window. In the case of a full album, delete all the albums tracks. et Voila! gone.

The main window doesnt show you whats on your ipod anymore. It used to

So i cant see the tracks to delete.

Errm, can't you click on that little triangle thing to drop down the playlist/music library next to the iPod on the left bar? (or is that only in OS X?)

That worked for me, thanks.

I don't know why I didn't think of it before

It seems a cumbersome way of editing the iPod songlist though.

Isn't the easiest way to do it to select "manually manage music" then just select the tracks you want to delete? That's how I do it. Automatic updating is for suckers. :p
