Right, noob question here, dont flame me...well...flame if you want...as long as you answer :)

i havnt used a mac for years now (got into gaming etc). But now im thinking of a mac mini. I have an old monitor i can use with it, my question is: does it have the standard vga monitor connection (i seem to remember my old, 10-years now, mac having a different stly of connection specific to mac monitors)?

Thanks for the input guys. Going shopping tomorrow ;)

One last question if I may ;)

Obviously when I duelboot into windows I'm going to be vulnerable to all the common windows attacks *sigh* :( but should the worst happen and I get attacked on windows, is there any possibiliy of it knackering the OS X install?

Cheers guys.

I wouldn't have thought so - Macs use EFI to boot rather than things like MBR in Windows. You won't be able to read files on your HFS+ drive when in Windows anyhow.

No, all possible threats should be limited to Windows whether you opt for Bootcamp or Parallels Desktop. In Bootcamp Windows is placed on a separate partition (I believe) and in Parallels Desktop the Windows installation is confined to a sort of suspicious file, rather like with VMWare solutions. Regardless, your OS X file system should be untouchable :)
