I got a new Asus P5E Intel X38 bargin 130 squid and some OCZ 4GB PC2-8000 Platinum XTC (2x2GB) 68 squid
As for me chip i still have not made up my mind as to the E8500 for 180 squid or Q9450 for 210 squids errm ..might go for the cheaper option
I have never OC before, cooling will be on air with a Nirvana 120 premium and a coolmaster cosmos case hoping it will keep it cool and quiet, if not and i can get it cheap, then i might invest in a water system.

what do think max stable clock, i will acheive with this system would be (il be happy with 4 and above)
there was lots of info about this board, so any info would be good anything to look out for...

It's a really good board, and with that ram I think you're going to be limited by the cpu more than anything. Heat shouldn't be a problem as the new 45nm chips should run cool but if you're going for mad clocks try something like this , I've got the non-extreme version with a Yate Loon fan.

Managed to get my E2140 to an 80% overclock first time on stock voltage, I can do a 100% overclock with a slight voltage bump. The new 1333FSB chips will have a 333mhz fsb so you've got a long way to go before you start to overclock your ram.

What will you be using it for? If it's just gaming I'd go for the dual, quads are pretty overkill unless you're doing hardcore video editing and decoding etc.

yep i think so to gamming mainly , surfing, downloading, photoshop, movies
depending on the sound i get from my machine will depend wether i ghet water cooling i want it to be quiet and if im going to push some heat water is a looking more likely
