Hi, I am a noob overclocker who has dared to get 2700K to 5ghz on cheap 60 quid gigabayte motherboard (model in pictures) Since I am a noob, I am worried that some of the values are too high and killing my CPU, so I came here for advise from experienced overclockers... System Is stable doesnt crash or anything I ran linpack, but only for very short time as I got worried that if values are wrong putting 100% load on CPU`s for long time will do damage (so I took pictures and put everything into stock), idle temperatures are 28-32

For some reason BIOS displays different voltage :

Since I am a fool, I didnt seem to be able to find simple VCore changer in bios and used this instead... (probably very dangerous)

Thanks for reading, Would appreciate guidance :)

vcore is actually pretty good for 5ghz, though I would sacrifice say 200mhz, knock it down to 4.8ghz and see if you can get a substantially lower vcore.

Well some struggle with 5GHz! Just goes to show it's not about the super expensive motherboards ...

As pgi947 said, sacrifice some Mhz and see if you can shave a load of your vcore ..., you will have very little performance loss, your processor will live longer, you will feel greener :D and you electricity bill won't be as high (a tiny difference on your annual bill is still a difference):D

:D I wonder how much do I pay in electricity for my computer sometimes

Was away for a week and everything in the house was turned off except the PC in my sig OC'd to 4.8ghz. The electricity meter only used £4. Could probably triple that for when i'm home and gaming a lot though :p
