hey guys,

my 2 white ds3 controllers have just arrived and i just have a couple of questions (bear in mind i dont actually have the ps3 yet :p)

1) got them both out of there boxes to have a look, as you do, and when i press the ps button in the middle, on the one the four lights spring to life and on the other they dont... does this mean on has some residual charge for some reason and the other one doesnt?

2) can i charge them with a standard usb cable to my laptop (or maybe the usb wall chargers that you can get for motorola phones and the like) so they are fully loaded and ready to go, or are the voltages different?

cheers :)

1) I think one has some charge in the batteries and the other doesn't, the lights should come on and when the controller gets connection the number the controller is stays on.

2) good question, I think you can just use any computer with a USB connection to charge them (but you might get problems with the machine trying to find drivers?) I haven't tried it, I just connect a long USB cable to the PS3 and keep playing when one of mine is nearly empty.

I have charged them from my PC before so no problems there. Your PC will recognise it but I doubt you will be able to use it , even with drivers, as the gaming signal is Bluetooth and not through the usb cable iirc.
