Is it normal to hear the computer system creaking every so often with watercooling?

It sounds a bit like when i have the house radiator on and it creaks sometimes as it expands and then cools later. Is this normal behaviour for a watercooled computer too?

The case is a Phanteks Enthoo Mini XL.

It looks to be soft tubing. I got it built by OcUK (been in for repair a few times and only got it back last friday).

So far everything is good. I just wondered if the creaking, which I'm assuming is things expanding with heat and then reducing, is normal?

is it actually the case that's making the creaking if so I know what you mean the corsair 600t used to do that almost sounds like something just cracked every now and again and where you've been having a bit of a mare with water your thinking oh no not again that sounds bad. your right its to do with heat or temperature and things expanding or something I think

Yes! thats exactly what crossed my mind. It is possibly the case as so far the water levels are remaining the same. It is a big case too. It can fit 2 motherboards/computers in there so its a biggie. I was just wondering if others heard similar sounds. My ps4 creaks too when its powered off sometimes after use.. so its probably just a normal thing. I was just making sure :)

At a guess there a screw somewhere on a rad that's slightly loose (Or not as tight as the other 3)
As the rad warms up it expands slightly and the screw Jumps slightly along the metal rail is screwed to, as it cools the reverse.

I wouldn't worry :)

It'll be your case causing it as the temps rise and cool. I've had cases in the past do it especially if they have plastic fixed over all the metal.
