Noob Question about Ram

Does all DDR2 Ram work in DDR2 motherrboards and the same for DDR3?

Im planning on building a system and wondering will i have to get new Ram

On the whole yes, but check the clock speed of the RAM and board are within range of each other.

Other thing to check is the voltage requirement of the RAM, and whether your motherboard can support that.

One thing you need to check with DDR3 is the ram voltage as Intel i systems ideally should be 1.65v ~ max - not sure if this is the case though.
