Besides the LED strip (Akasa/Silverstone) what else do I need to install it in my PC? I have a SuperFlower Leadex Gold 650W PSU and a NZXT S340 case, and I have no idea how the strip would connect to the power.

I'm an absolute noob with this so detailed instructions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

From what I remember (it's been a few years now since I used LED strips) you shouldn't need anything else, they usually come supplied with some sort of sticky fixing (velcro or glue pads) and hook up to a 4pin molex plug on your PSU.

^ Nothing has changed.

Bitfenix Alchemy and Akasa strips both power via Molex.
Just don't mix the 2 with the supplied extensions otherwise smoke and melting wires happens

Ok, I'm still thoroughly confused. I kid you not when I say I have no idea what 4 pin molex is. Where is the molex plug on the PSU?

Aand that new cord you just placed in there is included when I buy the LED strip?

I'm looking at a bag of cables that came with my PSU and only one of them has that 4 hole plug but it's also attached to the SATA cable. Will I have to use this cable or should there be a plug lurking inside my case already?

its called molex connector, there should be plenty of them with you psu. and usually one cable has more than one connector on it. So just plug into any free you will see. Or plug extra cable from you cable bag.
