I have a spare set of altec speakers and it would be great to hook them up to my ps3, but i have no idea how?

it has an aux connection and the usual green input.

what would i need to connect them to my ps3?

thanks :o

you'd need the Sony AV lead and connect the red/white using a RCA to 3.5mm adapter. Assuming you use HDMI for vid and audio now, you'll then need to go into the souond options and select the AV lead as the audio out path and you should be fine

thanks mate :) appreciated.

any chance you could link me to the correct leads, I would no doubt get the wrong ones.

and I would be using the AUX port on the speakers to connect?

Hey guys

is this what I need?

I have both a Line In and RCA cables (red, white, yellow) coming from my speakers, I just need to know now how to set it up.

I tried hooknig up the RCA directly to my TV but couldnt get any sound from the speakers even though I changed the audio output on the tv menu, but when I plug the red and white directly into the sky there is no problems. unfortunately no RCA connections on teh ps3, thats where im confused. :)
