I just built a new PC and wanna overclock it but...

Should I let the CPU burn in a while or can I get in the thick of things and overclock it from the go?

Which thermal paste did you use? Some require time to reach full efficiency, some work best straight out the box.

here you go...

Fractal Design Case, Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R, Intel Core i7 930, Corsair H50 Watercooler, Patriot Viper 6GB, Asus ATI 5870 GPU, Antec TruePower New 650W PSU.

IMHO I think you should go for a mild overclock now, leave it a week and then go for the whole hog.
So say, go up to ~3.2GHz now, leave a week to ensure the TIM is fully primed and then go for 4Ghz (or whatever you were aiming for)

The only TIM you have to wait for is AS5 and i don't think Corsair uses that, so you don't have to wait at all, go for it whenever you are ready.

TIM is thermal interface material so most people call it TIM for short.

Basicly its any thermal compound stuff inbetween the cpu and the cooler.

AS5 is just a brand of thermal compound that requires curing time, all other compounds don't need this curing time any more.
