Looking to fit a couple of new fans to my H50.

Now do you have both fans running the same way, I mean both as exhaust or both as intake? Or one of each

Currently I have the single fan on the H50 set as exhaust. Also have 2 fans at the top of the case ( Corsair 200R ) as exhaust and the front fan as intake.

Would it be better to have the H50 fan as an intake so the roof fans exhaust the heat?

Can anyone spec me a couple of fans to use with the H50?

I would have it at the rear and both fans blowing out of the case in a push pull config. As for fans the corsair sp120's are solid. If noise is an issue for you get the quiet ones or for more power cooling get the performance ones.

The best watercooling fans are Sythe GT. Its well accepted within the industry that this is the case. The Corsair SP range is also a good buy as pointed out above. Sythe are just a touch better though.

Just been checking via google image search, seems some models have closed corner pillars while others have a gap. Wondering if it's the latter that ocuk stock. The k2 fan clips only work on open corner fans.

Mine worked with the K2 and you won't need all 1850 of those rpm's ;) I'd go with the 1450 or even the 1150's tbh, not that the noise penalty is harsh or anything.
It was a little awkward to fit as alternate corners are open/closed iirc, but it did go on.

If you do get an odd fan with all closed corners, a small saw should do the trick. It's something I had to do with a set of Spectre's a while back.

Only problem with the GTs are that they don't come in PWM configuration. I use mine with a fan controller.

Noctuas get good rep and do a couple of 4 pin models? Ugly and expensive though :p

Setter should have the benefit of Asus Fan Xpert to control those suckers if he doesn't have a fan controller :)

Ed: Or Use both like I do :D

Got a 6 channel akasa fan controller at 30w per channel, so multiple fans wont be a problem. PWM is a great feature though as you just leave the fans to do their own thing.
