Noob RAID help needed!

I just received 2x Seagate 250gb Sata2 drives which i am trying to make into a RAID 1 Array to back up all my files etc.. Now the thing is i have the drives plugged into the Promise SATA ports (red ones) on my Asus A8V Deluxe mb and the drives were detected by the Promise Fastbuild utility on boot. I went in and set up the basic parameters and everything went ok, and on the next boot the fastrack378 BIOS shows the array at its correct size and says its functional.

Problem is that the array is not recognised in Windows, i have my CDRW, and my 2 old HDD's but nothing for the new drives. Is this because they are not formatted in NTFS? If so how do i go about formatting them outside of windows?

Thankyou so much! I had the drivers installed already, but i had no idea about the management options. Seems for whatever reason the array had not initialized automatically, so i did that manually and assigned it a letter, just got to wait for it to format as NTFS now

Really appreciate the help, i would never have even found that management option if someone had'nt of told me lol
