Ok you may think im stupid but im just wondering in simple terms what will getting another 670 give me?
Is it only in games i will notice any difference and will it affect a 3d monitor?

I would assume 1080P because of the 3D question.

SLI will give you a lot more FPS in games and will last you a lot longer than a single card, it will also help if you wished to go 3 monitor surround. The downside is More heat/more power required/more noise/SLI support can take a while for newer games.

It won't effect a 3D monitor except in a good way (more fps).
 
Would a single 670 get me by until i can afford another like i want to take advantage of getting a high end monitor??

Im used to console gaming so i think ill be happy with any improvement:)
 
You won't even need a second one until games start struggling, I'm using a single 670 with a BenQ XL2420T - Perfect. I'll probably pick up another one in February to play Crysis 3
