Hi,
Sorry if this is a very noob question but.....

Im thinking of changing my internet from telewest (because the connection is stupidly slow in my area now since its been upgraded to 10mb) to Bulldog 8mb.
But the BT phone line is downstairs and my pc is up!
So my question is if i got a wireless setup would i notice any speed difference? or is it generally pretty good compared to a modem connected straight to me pc.
And what sort of kit would i need to hook up my PC and XBOX 360.?!
And ive got a wired router as well if i could use that?!?!?!?!
Thanks for any replies! John!

it will be slower than wired but probably not noticably. Why not just run a phone extension upstairs unless you either need or really want wireless?

Speed difference wise, almost negligible - latency is more of an issue if gaming, but even then it is only a few ms. As stated though, it might be an idea to run some cable upstairs if you can easily, if not then look into wireless - at least then you can share the connection and not have to worry about any extra computers.

Well to be honest theres no where i can run cabling???? especially that we have laminate flooring so we cant hide it under a carpet?!

so would i get a good internet connection from this??..
