Greetings peeps,

I need install a second hard drive for my new business as I didn't want to go to the expense of buying a seperate pc for it. I would like it to be an external hard drive that would run the same OS that I use now (XP home) but I know naff all about how I would go about this :o Is dual booting the way to go and is it easy to set up
Any tutorials on this (if that's the route I need to go down) would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance and sorry for the dumb question :o

Firstly if you want an external drive and you want to boot off it then it really needs to be eSATA, anything else is going to be too slow really. Don't worry if you don't have an eSATA port, all the caddies I've seen come with a PCI blanking plate mounted socket which connects to an internal SATA port to give you an external one.

Dual booting is the way to go, it should (if I remember right) just be a case of installing a new copy of XP on the new disk, the install process should create the boot menu for you so you'll get a choice of which copy of the OS to boot on startup.
