Hello,

I'm thinking about going down the upgrade route from my current rig (in Sig) to an Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe and ATI X1900-XTX.

However i have a noobie question about my current RAID-0 setup. I have two Samsung spinpoints 250GB in RAID-0 setup using the NVidia RAID facility. If i change my motherboard can i simply plug in my two HDD's and off i go? Or will i have to re-format and setup the RAID again?

Fortunately i have an External HDD with my HDDs backed up to this.

Cheers for any help

Unless by some chance your motherboard uses the exact same Raid controller chipset as the new one then the chances are high that you will have to re-raid your drives. It is usually better to do so anyway because you are starting with a clean install.

Going from Nforce to nforce should work perfectly - it depends if you used the onboard raid ports or the "extra" ports provided with a 3rd party chip.
Which Nforce version was it too? 3 or 4?
As you have data backed up though, id go for fresh install tbh :)
