Noodle appreciation thread

This is my new favourite over the last couple of years (Prima)

More expensive (circa £1.80 / pack) but each portion packs a delicious curry / laksa flavour with awesome noodles to go. Always add additional ingredient like stripped chicken or some seafood to make it even better!

Otherwise my go to instant noodles:

Make it a little healthier with a portion of Kim Chi.

Whilst I love noodles, they are empty carbs, which are bad....apparently. So they very rarely happen. Girlfriend is a big fan of shin cups so whenever I find myself in Liverpool I stop by the Asian supermarket there and pick up a trunk-full.

Empty carb that makes one feel full in 3-10 mins, a quick meal but definitely not a daily thing unless you lavish it to balance it (add eggs for protein, veg and/or meat for other nutrients).

Back in my student years, an acquaintance did that solidly for 3 months to save some bucks for a holiday. Managed to be fairly healthy but did not do him great when it comes to concentration at work or gaming session, so definitely something still missing from those "balanced" meal.

I got noodles for lunch this week. I am adding boiled eggs and sweetcorn/veg though as I would be very hungry with just the noodles. Had to buy "lower calorie" ones as they are 1 portion rather than 2 (which by the looks of thing is the only factor in making them lower in calories)

But the best ones are mama noodles :) cant get many flavours of those here though...

Sainsbury's have a poor selection for making up noodles.

Ended up with an udon noodles bowl, so which I added spring onions, bean sprouts, salad sprouts/shoots and some chicken. Was OK, didn't rock my world. Must try harder.

I always have a bunch of Shin Cup in my work drawer as emergency food.

I love any as long as they aren't prefixed by Super- or Pot- :p

chicken chow mein is frankly one of the greatest things ever created. Not those fat noodles but the thinner ones with lots of bean sprouts and soy sauce.

LUSH.

Awesome, this threads still going :)

I've since moved onto the nongshim spicy cup noodles, 67p from asda. INCREDIBLE is all I can say.

I wouldn't really recommend those noodles i posted, they are what i thought they might be, an average chicken noodle with a massive amount of pepper added.

Stir fried thick udon noodles are my favourite, with char sui pork. Not usually on the menu at chinese takeaways but if you ask they will do it.

Two packets of Tesco Value curry flavour noodles for tea this evening. Not much flavour at all though and should have seasoned a little more myself really.

I did add two boiled eggs though and a good portion of broccilli so it wasn't that bad in the end.
