Well i just registered my console and its in warranty for this fault until June 11 2011. So off to ms it goes.

I think you can check online.
My xbox 360 premium died the other day when I turned it on (red ¼-ring of death).
I used the website to start the repair process and it told me my warranty rand out about 18 months ago (I guess the warranty was only 12 months).
I think it works it out based on your serial number.
Told me it'd cost £80 to get it fixed and would take 2-3 weeks.

I did all that and it said there is no charge for this type of repair. At least that's one good thing.

I think the warranty is longer for a specific type of fault.
I just bought a 250GB XBOX 360 S. That way I get a nice new XBOX, another controller (in black) and a bigger HDD (and 3 new games). Admittedly it's not really worked out cheaper, but it will be new and shiny...

well the want £68 to fix mine. it well out of warrenty though. ive, had it since launch and has only been back once since.

You can get the old Elite for around the £135 mark may be worth thinking about that as it comes with a nice fresh 3 yr rrod warranty.

to load properly? Everytime I have clicked it using IE/Firefox (latest version) it's like it's having difficulty loading and just displays all the links down the left hand side.

Loads ok in Safari.
