If you wrap your non-working console in a towel and turn it on for around 100 seconds, it starts to melt the solder back into place, and will start working again :)

I did it as a last hope sorta thing and it worked, and I just blamed it on coincidence. But my friends died, so I told him to do it, and it worked for him too :D

My shares in UPS have gone up again.
I wonder if the UPS drivers are on a bonus on how many they collect and deliver in a week.
 
Got my labels but guess I will have to wait until after the weekend for UPS to pick it up

Its just hit me that it could be a Christmas without my 360 this year :( That makes me very sad
 
What do you do about hard drive/saved games? I only ask because I have a feeling mine is about to do the same...

Can you copy onto a memory card, or do you just send the console back without the HD?

Make sure the wire is plugged in properly...

I got 3 red lights the other day due to wires not plugged in properly.
 
To be honest I want mine to break, mine doesnt see that much use and whilst ive had it intermittantly on a massive forza session its seems ok.

I just know its gonna stuff up outside of the 3 year warranty period as its a release console :(
 
To be honest, they know there is an issue with the console, yet they are still selling them as they are, just with a 3 years warranty, but as they know the issue exists shouldnt there be a lifetime warranty on the product as there is no guarantee how long it willa ctually stay alive, you dont buy the product expecting it to break within or over 3 years :S thats just pathetic..

Just a general wondering..

They should have a lifetime warranty on the product to be honest.
 
Mine broke again last night. Had a launch day console and broke with ROD few months ago and now my replacement has just died with the same problem. So tempted to buy an Elite instead in hoping it will more likely work and not get refurbed consoles thrown back at me.

But anyway atleast they are sorting it out now (well attempting too :\ ). With a 3 year RROD warranty + the new Falcon/cooling design. They could have been all anal and have left the design how it was from 3 years ago. And by no means am I standing up for MS. There build quality on the 360 is total utter tripe.

What can you do though? Especially considering they offering the extended warranty. It sucks loads. :(

Such great games and live experience, but such crap build quality :(
