normal bandwidth usage?

I have had my site (in sig) running for exactly 6 days now and it already used 3,000MB of bandwidth.

is it normal? considering i don't have much images on (few galleries but nothing heavy), nor i allow any downloads from the site.

3GB isn't much you probably think but it's only been 6 days, and getting stronger - where will i be standing at the end of the month? :confused:

just wanna know if it's normal? or something is wrong?

1800 visitors with 8.5K page views, if that helps.

Take a look at your web stats - it should show you a list of the files which generate the most traffic. If they are mostly images you could look at reducing the quality.

Whoha. looks like the .JPG type file is using 60%!!! of the total bandwidth used so far.

Thank you, didn't know such thing was there.

Although my images on the site are about 200-300 KB per image, not sure how I can go down more than that.

I'm sure if you post some the JPEGs someone who knows more about graphics than me will be able to advise on those.

3GB over 1,800 visits is only 1.66MB per visitor which sounds fairly normal to me.

Just upgraded my package with vidhost just in case it runs out

. will need it in the future anyway.

Normal depends.. if you're hosting those Rihanna pics or whatever this weeks shock images are then the sky is the limit.

What is the content? 1300 visitors is rather high for the first week unless you've been linked from a popular site or something similar.

Your stats should give you some clues

Nah not anything like that

Just some gameplay screenshots of killing floor, that's what the site is all about.
I am not worried about the usage anymore as I have upgraded me package and it should more than do now.

I had a quick look and could only see two places where you could really save further bandwidth, your html is a little big at 50Kb and i'd make your background image smaller, you can do that by tweaking the image so it tiles horizontally.

Sounds like you did the right thing upgrading the package, 3Gb isn't a whole lot of bandwidth.
