Yo,

Been in bed since Saturday.
Both ends, not happy.
Mostly just rear end now.
Zero energy.

Who else has had it? Did you also experience a full week?

Silver lining, I was trying to loose weight. Last Friday I was 96.7kg. I'm 90.4kg as of this morning. So yea, great for weight loss.

Not for many years but it is awful.

I often wonder what happens when very fit and healthy people with no body fat get stuff like that, does it actually hit them harder because they don't have excess body weight to be able to lose?

Yeah it's horrible, had it about 8 years ago or something.

Main symptoms last a couple days but knocks you about bad so a week to start feeling normal again.

Off work for sure, can't work with that virus it's rough.

I had it about 10 years ago I think.

It was a fun experience, olive oil flying out of one end, leant over the sink puke flying out of the other.

Probably the worst illness I’ve ever had, with the exception of chickenpox which I had in my 20s, that was the worst.

We had it last week. Worst I've ever had it. In the middle of being sick, I managed to spurt some out the other end on to the bathroom floor which was fun...

It's now been nearly a week and I'm still not back to 100%.

Vomited 20+ times in a night. The bile eventually came out. A few more attempts at vomiting. Mild fever. A couple hours sleep and not too bad the next day, avoided food for a while.

Campylobacter now that's savage...

They probably recover quickly after a brief illness.

Turns out, it may not be norovirus.
Been admitted to Hospital with a BP of 95/70. And a high heart rate.
Keep nearly falling over when I walk.

Fun

Had it years back, the most insane temperature I've ever had/headache, tripping absolute balls when I could sleep, sweated through my mattress, vomit and hot burning diarrhea constantly.

Was way worse than covid, which was just a pathetic hot flush/headache and a mild cough and sore throat.

Did you get it off your kids? My kids brought it home from school before Christmas and everyone had it except me. Very grim Indeed.

then - sounds more like a vertigo kind of thing from sinus's/ears where you feel sick if not laying down, and out of balance - that was much worse than 24hr norovirus

I had it a few years back and it was one of the most miserable experiences of my life, constantly firing out of both ends and horrendous dehydration.

I couldn't sleep for days due to it.

A few years back, but basically as you said. Both ends continuously emptying, no food intake foe a week, went from about 64kg to 58kg and no energy for a month.

I still have vivid memories of dragging myself to the toilet and not knowing to vomit or spray paint out my backside first and basically doing both at the same time, then lying on the bathroom floor shaking covered in vomit

Norovirus it truly horrible.

Had it about 8 years ago. Christmas day, family round for dinner in our old little house. Mrs G got it first spent the entire day in the toilet exploding out of both ends. I tried to keep the Christmas day going but in the end both Grandmothers stepped up and ran the show while I looked after Mrs G. Boxing Day was my turn, lets just say the toilet and I became intimate friends.

Thankfully it was very much a 48 hour thing with maybe a day or two feeling a bit rough afterwards but it was a horrible 38 hours.
