Norwich last season were a team that played as way, way more than the sum of our parts. A lot of our results were ground out from just putting in 100% for the whole 90mins and killing teams when they lost concentration in the last 10mins. Without the points gained in the last 10 mins of games I don't think we would've even been in the playoffs.
Sinclair aside, Dobbie or Dyer are probably Swansea's best players. Danny Graham has come in, but he hasn't played a competetive game for us yet.
Will be interesting what role Dobbie has this season, he seems like a luxury player, great technical skills but the team have to fit around him. A bit like Hoolahan at Norwich.
He plays in the hole behind the single striker and he got better as the season went on and also put in a lot of work. You see his goal and assist in the play off final? Cracking technical ability.
Yeah, I saw him quite a lot, quite surprised how much he improved. Again not sure if relegation contenders can afford to play a player in that role, if anything they'll be packing defensive midfielders. Who knows![]()
Swansea play nice football, also very good defensively.. Norwich are about hustle and 110% work rate.
Blackpool tried playing football last season and got relegated.
All means nowt really, Prem different ball game to the Championship, probably more about mental ability over technical too.
I miss the Championship, its been great in the EPL but its not football as I like it, Saturday 3pm every weekend, the small crowds, no tv crap, refs giving the top 4 everything.
Mate is going to Swansea, hope its a cracking game and Martinez doesn't get booed, he built that team and went back to the club that brought him to England.
