Well, not sure if it qualifies as one as there's nothing wrong with me, yet, mods, if you think it is, lock it then.

I was out in the sun the whole day (got a lovely t-shirt tan) and as always, my eyes go slightly red after a day in the sun. Quite irritating as I have an important dinner tonight and want to look my best. Which is bloody hard work enough without having to deal with red eyes. Would eye drops work? Or does anyone have a good fast remedy to get rid of it?

Optrex Actimist which you spray on your eyelids or eye drops may help. The redness can also be caused by allergies so a allergy tablet or medicine like Benadryl may also help.

OMG WHAT IF HE'S ALLERGIC?
I feel a lawsuit coming on.

Haha. Don't worry, I have enough money.

No wait :(

Just washed it with cold water and it seems to be helping a bit. If the restaurant is dark, I should be fine I hope. Or get everyone plowed so I won't stand out.

Think the best answer is to lie down, and close your eyes, let them rest and have a cool flannel over your face.

Last thing you want to do with red eyes is start dropping all sorts of drops in there.

Perhaps the best solution is to simply smash all your dinners guest in the face with the wine glasses on the table.

This will distract their attention, as a) they will be blind, and b) they will be screaming in pain.

Also this may get you out of paying the bill too, so its a well thought out plan.

If the redness lasts for more than a couple of days, I'd get it checked by your GP. This happened to me in early March and I had to go to hospital a few times to be treated. I'm still on meds now, 5 weeks later. Try comfort drops for now though and see what it's like tomorrow.

Visine is the best **** ever for getting rid of red eye.
Never seen it in the UK, but then I've never looked..
