Hi all,

i was just thinking today about how different races tend to be sectioned out in different area's of the country,

The reason why i am wondering this is today i had the pleasure of being in Ilford, Essex and found that it's all Asian or black living there, Obviously back in the day this would not have been the case so what has made this area "white" free? When most of the houses that were built in ilford (most look at least Victorian and possibly even older) they would surely have been occupied by white's (in which i mean Europeans) or possibly even a true multi-cultural town.

Did it originate because certain ethnic types were bought to england for work and only given houses in specific area's, then these family's grow and their children buy more houses in the area and so on?

As i said, this is not a Racist Rant i am truly interested in why this happens.

Yup, people who move to Britain will just move to the same area where family live or people of the same culture/nationality.

I can understand this i suppose, I would do exactly the same, Although i wonder how it all actually started.
