My only regret is that a combination of lockdown and nobody to keep an eye on Mum while I'm out means I can't sneak off up onto the local hills and take some landscape shots with a natural sky for once. Last time it was this clear was 9/11... no, the volcano. And while I don't wish for disaster, every cloud has a silver lining.

There was actually one aircraft way, way up behind me, but we're not a million miles from Manchester airport so low level aircraft are around incessantly usually, with a backdrop of high aircraft passing over the region.

Heard one helicopter going offshore today, but not seen any planes for days. Saw one on Saturday, reminded of that bit in 28 Days Later

Certainly lot less contrails now.
But still some traffic from China/Japan/Korea to Helsinki and Germany/France here at SE border of Finland.
And some mid altitude turboprop not visible in FlightRadar making its noise multiple times in certain week days.
(EU border patrol flights?)
