Sorry PMKeates just assumed everyone would know lol, as i did a big thread on my new pole lol

I can't take it to them, I am in Bedfordshire, they are in Plymouth. Was purchased on line.

It is basically an 18ft carbon fibre pole, used for window cleaning

I have called them and emailed photos today. But tbh the attitude was a bit "meh" Just my hunch tells me they will argue it. I could be wrong and I hope I am! Just wanted some ammo, incase they start to argue with me you see. :)

Well it's frankly ridiculous the pole broke. Unless they want to prove you misused it, which they will almost certainly fail at doing, then they are going to have to do something about it. If you get any issues just make it clear you know the are obliged to do so.

Awesome. No misuse at all. Cost me 700 odd quid! So been treated like a baby!

But my best bet, would be to state sale of goods act?

Just a bit worried that's all. Started my new company, blown all of my cash getting it up and running. Staring to do really well, and now I cant really work.

:(

Does the product have a warranty? Tell them you want a replacement and you are willing to send it off to them, just let them know what is up with it.

just mention SoG act 19XX plus amendments. Did you pay by credit card? If so, just leave it to them if the shop give you the run around.

Should any defects develop under proper use of the goods supplied within a period of 12 months after delivery as a consequence of manufacturing fault or incorrect assembly, then we will make good by repair or replacement any such defect providing the defective goods are returned to us promptly at the following address:

All warranty returns, must first of all be verified with **** and must be assigned a Returns Number. All goods returned without a valid returns number will be deemed as outside of any warranty claim. All goods must be adequately packaged. Warranty is supplied on a 'Return To Base' basis. Carriage will only be refunded if fault is deemed to fall within our guarantee. We can arrange collection of bulky items but this will be charged to you until reason for fault is established. We shall not be liable in any way for consequential damage or loss or injury. We reserve the right to return goods to the supplier for repair. Any modifications or adaptations or fitting of non-approved accessories (brushes etc) render the above guarantee null and void. 'Wear and tear' is not covered under this guarantee.

This is clearly what has happened? You have had it within 12 months, and within these months the product has had a fault/incorrect assembly, therefore you want to send it back to the address with an RMA number and get a replacement for it. Just send them an email saying what has happened and you are requesting for an RMA number and they should give you one with the full details, then send it off to them and all should be okay. :)

If it that simple. Then great. At the end of the day. It's in sections. So I only need one section. Not the whole pole!

The issue is I cannot earn money now as of Monday. So this needs to be sorted Tom. I made this thread for ammo. Which I have. So that's great. But if they need to inspect it, etc. I will be filing for loss of earnings.

Some products need to be returned as a kit, for example when we sell memory in dual channel kits we have to accept the whole kit back and not just the one stick that is faulty. I don't know much about the product you are talking about but it maybe the same.

I would call them tomorrow, in a friendly manner and just see what they offer, and if they can cover you under the warranty.

Good good, I have called and I am waiting for a call. But I did stress this is urgent. And it was all a bit "meh" on the phone.

Will update tomorrow :(

Don't try and repair it for a start, else they'll never accept it back.

Explain to them how you were using it and how it broke, sounds like a manufacturing defect to me!
