i there,

I have a Epia Via M10000N board (Mini Itx System) and I am using the onboard sound, but I cannot get any sound output.

I have tried headphones and speakers plugged into the green port on the back but i just don't get any sound (these devices work with my mp3 player)

I am using Windows XP MCE with latest updates and latest drivers.

There are no other devices i can choose.

It is busted? Or is this a known issue and can it be fixed?

Thanks.

Well it looks like it recognizes the device.

Might sound stupid but have you made sure its not muted?

is it hd sound if it is you need the windows fixes

Its not HD sound now.

An update:

I tried a linux live cd to see whether the actual audio port is busted, but it appears not.

When I load the live CD (Ubuntu 6.06), I can hear the sounds and watch the example movie etc.....

That is only when the headphones/speakers are plugged into the Blue Socket, when in the green socket, I get nothing.

In windows I have tried the blue and green socket but get nothing.

Any ideas?
